Hands Free Volume

Post by TonyFoo » Wed Mar 15, 2006 10:55 am

Have been bugged with this since I had my Nokia hands free kit (CARK91) fitted. It has been linked to the Sat Nav Plus with BOSE and mutes the stereo and comes up with "phone" on the display no problem. Despite having both phone and BOSE volume settings to min however you get a full 200 watts of volume on the hands free through all speakers. OK on the motorway but a bit of a bind in town. Dealer reckons it may be a faulty Sat Nav but this is my second unit and they both had the problem.

Have noticed one or two Audis with similar problems i.e. you can hear them having phone sex at full volume in traffic.

Any ideas?

My Nokia car kit has a separate volume control and access button which is mounted next to the gear lever....but this may be because I have the non satnav radio fitted (still Bose). How do you get your's to say "phone" mine comes up with "telefon"

There is a sub-menu for languages in the set-up menu.

Tone.

I had this issue on a CARK-91 and bose setup in my B5-S4, on on the telemute lead there was a box of tricks that had a volume wheel on it and I had to have that set to almost 0 otherwise it tried to blow my eardrums out
