Not good - looks as though someone over-tightened the bleed nipple (or got some debris lodged in the thread).

Well thanks to Audi Chester again , one caliper being replaced under warranty. Unfortunately my calipers don't have RS decals on them so I am having to pay for a second so they match.

Trouble is parts are on back order to Germany and I can't source my own quicker without paying for the lot.

Got a courtesy car for the next few weeks

To be clear Chester Audi haven't done this damage to the caliper, it must have been done in a previous service

N/S Caliper gone to factory back-order - after originally being told by Audi 2-3 working days  anticipated delivery 2nd week April. O/S arriving tomorrow morning.

At least it will give us a chance to look at the other couple of items whilst it's with us

When my calliper went last summer it took Audi nearly 4 weeks to source one...

I don't know and Audi didn't want to talk about it. I had only owned the car for two weeks. Had a few problems with it initially and out of the first 8 weeks of ownership I only had it for 2. I must say though that it's been good as gold since then.....
Went in yesterday to talk about putting a deposit on an R8. Only wanted 1500 which I thought wasn't too bad.

Yep same problem.

My OSF has arrived but Audi Germany are quoting 14th April 2006 for my NSF!

That will be the car off the road for 4 weeks.

I am told they quote the 'outside' of what can be achieved, but a whole month without my car

Got the car back last Friday. Thanks to Skodaw and the gang at Chester Audi, great job again.

Decided to change the OSF caliper as well as the bleed nipple was dodgy too.

So spent all weekend driving. Went into the Welsh Mountains on Saturday and just teared around for 5 hours, great fun. This car is amazing. Not sure why the journo's described the steering as vague, by the end of the day I was really throwing it into the corners, felt very confident and responsive. Fallen back in love with the car.

If anyone wants to have a blast through the mountains give me a shout, I found some great quiet rounds 'over the top' were you could really enjoy the roads.

Then Sunday in Yorkshire Moors. Completely different day though, didn't get out of 3rd! Complete monsoon, floods everywhere.

So 15 hours 'in the saddle' over the weekend, just loving every minute :kissmyrings:

Have to say I loved my trip to Scotland, A1 was a fun pleasure cruise, then through the Highlands on a dry sunny day was a joy. Fantastic, and more memorable than myRS4. Rather annoying got screamed at for a side by side tustle with a STi, Type UK had to let him past before I knew weather or not I would have won, (actually on paper it should be no contest, so why was it?!)

Had a nightmare with Sat Nav - running low on juice decided to find a petrol station via the special destination menu. Drove for 15 minutes off the A1, finally got to a "Shell" station that was now a used car forecourt, and must have been one for years. So, tried again and ventured another 20 mins off the A1 again to an "Esso" which was boarded up and hadn't been in operation for 10 years at least. Is this software THAT out of date?! Anyone know if there's a new disc available?
