The reserve on the RS4 starting at 25K has got to be around 55K :?:

Do these people realise you can still buy RS4's from the show room? Just some of the claims they are making are interesting :?

Anyway, how are you lucky folk finding your new baby's?

Cheers

Paul,

Its a great car, very very different from the B5 but just as good. I am now on my 2nd B7, got my PPTC B7 the 2nd Week in Jan, covered 4k between then and 1st March, when I changed into my own RS4. Very very impressed, the development team have produced a fantasic car.

I have just under five weeks before I change to an B7-RS4 Avant PPTC car for 2 months, once the avants hit the road in the UK, some of the old B5 owners will convert. I am sure.

Hiya Matt,

Thanks for that mate!!

Just e-mailed the guy selling the RS starting at 25K, said he is selling for a profit (hinted reserve is around 60K  )......... Just bought a new super charged Range Rover the RS is to pay for!!!!!!

Matt do you think the Avant will handle as well as the salon? Just kicking ideas around in my head...........
Cheers

Paul,

I have only driven a B7 Avant for about 120km and not fast, but it felt very very tight and no different to the saloon. The avant has 20% greater roll potential to the rear than the saloon, This sould result in an avant that will handle very very well. ESP 8.1 on all B7 will really help with the weight distribution, with over 200 calculations per second changing the front to rear balance.

My last visit to Germany to see the avant during testing I was out with Jan Becker, some of you will know from your driving experience track days, and boy of boy did he make the car flow.

I am much more excited about the Avant than the Saloon, my problem is I love the thought behind the avant, there are lots of fast saloon cars but when it comes to estate cars the RS4 rules the roost.

I know this will open up more debate, I am sorry.

Matt

Didn't do very well on the auction at all, didn't even make list.

Matt,

Thanks for the info there!!

Think i'll go for the Avant when I get around to spending the money on one

I think the Avant is a better balanced car in the looks department IMHO

Regarding the RS4's on e-bay, I think these people have miss judged the demand for the RS or do not realise that there are still cars available from Audi at list

Fontain have a Phontom Black RS4 up for £59,995 :? intereseting to see how long they keep that for lol
Cheers

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the ebay fee's relate to the reserve price? In other words, the higher the reserve the higher your fee's.

If he keep's relisting it with a 55k reserve and it doesn't sell, his fee's will be huge!

He'll have to up his reserve to 60k just to cover the fee's

ebay has fixed fees for selling vehicles, which are far lower than normal ebay fees to compete with the likes of autotrader etc, so fees wont be too great and sometimes relisting is free.

i think they are taking the pss though, especially as they are still available to order at dealers......
