cheers, running on H&R coilovers, probably going to get it raised a little more, as london is speed bump central, and as such it catches slightly occasionally.

Looks Fat Man- whats your offset and width of your rims, i got same running 18x8.5's- 35eta, just clear on front, 38 would be good..? :biggrin2:

my fav audi rim, they look good on any audi but look real nice on your s4 with that stance, they 18 or 19".

they're 18x8.5, and I think ET35 too, they're from an B6 Audi 1.8T S-line. running 3mm spacers on the front to clear the porsche brakes. going to ask AMD who put the brakes on, if they can make a modified hub with 3mm more clearance, as I dislike spacers generally.

They look great Andy!

From what I can see, it seems you have no issues with the wheels being too wide for the wheel arches (or making contact with them), despite the wider 8.5" wheel, ET35 offset, and 3mm spacers?

What height are you running your coilovers on?

Finally, if you can't get a modified hub made, and assuming you're using those universal spacers in the packet in one of the pics, I would suggest you buy some quality hubcentric ones designed for the car's PCD.

no issues with wheel arches, no rubbing on full lock either.

I need to measure them actually, AMD put them on back in July, then I had them raise it by 10mm in October, as it was not speed bump friendly, its still grinds occasionally which bugs me, so am going to get it raised according to the recommendations made in another thread by DavidT

I got the universal spacers as a short term thing, just to ensure that all works, and they fitted without rubbing.
My understanding of hubcentric spacers was that you couldn't get them in <10mm. if I can't get a modified hub made up, then I'll get some eibach/hr spacers which are specifically designed for 5x112.

Andy - I think the smallest hubcentric spacers you can get (PCD 5x112) are 5mm, which I'm currently using - I got mine from Philip Walker - PM me if you would like his contact details.

I forgot to ask : I take it there are no issues with the tracking with having the spacers on the front only?

shouldn't be. on my old ibiza, I'd to run with 10mm hubcentric spacers when I fitted brembos to the front wheels.

Ibiza was 9mm thinner track at the rear by default on the ibiza. In the end I put 15mm hubcentrics on the back, which gave it a squarer stance, but running 10mm at the front was fine.

meh. went to get new tyres for the new wheels yesterday at micheldever tyres.

fantastic place. definetely get all my tyres from there now - cheap + knowledgable + very fast.

but anyway, was told technically with the 225/40R18 tyres I had on my new wheels, I was bordering on being illegal...so putting 235/40R18 which I wanted (and was the motivating reason behind changing the wheels), would be very so. Which I didn't want to do.

It was also pointed out they were rubbing slightly, so I ended up just changing back to the standard wheels.

sigh.

I suspected an 8.5" rim would be a bit too wide for the S4, especially if the car has been lowered - I used to have 8" RS4 replicas and they were very close to the arches.
