Riz is correct, the Gilders Daytona car does have the cloth seats and exclusive (!) steering wheel, but spec also not for me. They do however have a fully specced avus silver car available with delivery in two weeks. Have considered this, but my last four cars have been silver and do fancy a change. Therefore if anyone fancies this car, give Shane in sales a call.
As Gareth says, the Kidlington car is taking the ****. The salesman was very confident they would sell it for this price, but not to anyone with any sense.
The Pentraeth Phantom black car was traded to Fontain Audi (independents I believe) who called me offering the car for £59,950, and will be in the Sunday times this week at that price.
All the Best

Where are the cancelled orders?
Are the cloth seats buckets or recaro type?Riz_RS4 wrote:I also think it has cloth seats....MattC wrote:The Gilders car Daytona is still available, £54,100.00

Me and my brother in law were at Fontain yesterday and the salesman offered us the RS4 for £59950, it has literally every extra in the book, and they are confident they will sell it, apparently arrives on monday and they have received a lot of calls already..
Guys you have to take note that everyone on here and other marque forums, are quite clued up to the market and to general pricing, specs etc. We are unusual, savvy customers you could call us.. we read around topics and research into our purchases, there are people out there and a lot of them, that have a lot of money and no idea how to spend it, so they buy the latest thing be it a mini cooper convertible, a new M5, or an RS4 and will pay whatever price that is displayed on the window.. I've got a range rover sport right now, and managed to secure a demo vehicle at list, you may call me stupid or an idiot for paying list for an essentially used car, but at least i got some spec free and had the car very early on in its launch cycle. There were and still are plenty of cars priced over list being sold at a premium and there are people out there still buying them.
When most of our cars have been delivered, there will be the second wave of purchasers who will pay whatever is being asked to join the club, and so if Audi follow what they are saying and don't release another batch for 2006, we will be good on residuals for a while, i think the avant and convertible will effect this drastically, but im still hopeful demand will rise instead of fall off over the next 6-12 months.. This will help us all come resale time.
What we don't want is a Bmw M3 CSL nosedive, or a flooding of the market, cuz afterall, even though it may be a hot car, there is still a limited market for 4.2 litre V8 monsters due to the running costs being so high.

The M3 CSL "situation" in 2003 is totally different to the RS4 and bears no relevance at all I'm afraid...
The CSL was a limited production model that was a) over priced and b) very poorly managed by BMW prior to, and subsequent to launch. The RS4 is an unlimited (aside from capacity) production model that it is general release/availability.

Hi Gareth,
I wasn't comparing the cars or the batch runs, i was just using the example of the CSL nosedive in residuals, and hope we don't have the same situation with the RS4.
