Geneva Motor Show.

Post by Chubby » Mon Mar 06, 2006 9:30 am

Hi all,

Went to the Geneva Motor Show over the weekend, and got a couple of pictures of both the RS4 Avant, and the RS4 Cab.

If anyone would like to see them e-mail or give me your e-mail address and I will send tham as I have no idea how to post them on the site.

Interesting fact - the Avant at the show had ceramic brakes which in Switzerland cost 9900 swiss francs but in Germany will cost 5800 euros, - which if my calculations are correct makes them a grand cheaper in Germany...

Regards,

Chubby.
RS4 Misano Red (The Fast Colour) - A Few Extras = 550bhp - In Love Again - Now broken - Hate the Bitch... Has to go...

Looks good... Cab looks OK too, except those bucket seats look even more out of place in that. I'm not a fan of them full stop, Recaros for me. Thanks for the pics!

I agree, seats look out of place.

I think they make it a tad difficult to get into the back of the Cab, that's why the cabs are coming with Recaro's as standard, and the buckets are optional.

Well that's finally made my mind up for me. A cabriolet !!! How downmarket can you get. I feel quite ill.

And the Avant looks like a ........er......station wagon.

Its cheaper to make wheel arches than to pull the whole bodwork out. On the B5, I think only the roof and bonnet panels were the same. Not the case with the B7.

Aye you'll struggle to tell the difference between the RS and an S-line.

Hopefully it looks better in the flesh. The RS4 saloon certainly looked 10 times better in the flesh. I did pass a bonny black S-line 1.9TDI a couple months back that looked pretty good in the flesh.

Lets see more colours.

Well I went to Geneva myself yesterday - WOW how busy??? I've never seen so many people in one place, it made getting around some of the stands and photography a bit difficult -- but was well worth the trip.
