Reasonable Premium on 'demo' car

Post by deansheehan » Sat Mar 04, 2006 7:38 pm

I've been offered a new RS4 that is a demo vehicle - will have 500 (careful so they say) miles on it and I can have it 1st June.

Today 2 other people started bidding for it and I have agreed to pay 4k over list for it.

Have I been had?

It is beautiful and feels like a combination between my Chimaera 5L of a few years back and my 911 (997) I had - brilliant combination. Stunning car.

I think that is way too much, if you are willing to phone round and travel you'll be able to pick up a cancelled order or a showroom model without any miles. I read in another post there is a Misano Red one at Audi in Doncaster .
Nardo Grey RS6 Vorsprung 600 PS 2021 model
Nardo Grey RS6 Performance 605 PS. Titanium
Misano Red RS4 B8 450 PS
Phantom Black RS4 B7 444 BHP

Look through the threads on here, there's a fair few available and you'll be paying standard list price.

Yes Doncaster Audi do have a Misano Red 06 plate RS4 available for sale, as far as I know list price too. I had a good look at it last week.

Or try and order one, but you`ll have to be lucky to get one for this year to you spec as I hear customers are still waiting for deliveries from some dealerships.

There's dealer cars for sale unregistered and nil premium. Just phone the nearest 12 dealers to you and ask. Best of luck!

If the test drive miles have been "easy" then why the hell do people go out in it?

It will have been caned from cold. It deserves a decent discount.

Thanks for all the feedback, they are also trying it on with the part-exchange for my S4 Cab at 2.5k below book pe price!

I test drove the RS4 and had it redlined and squiffy on the exit of a couple of roundabouts, sure I'm not the first and probably not the last!

cheers,
