Wow, Direct line quoted me £1,300, with 7 years' NCB, no claims and just one TS10. Elephant quoted me £700 as did Admiral (same group). You can get a quote off their website

623 from direct line, 7 years NCB protected, not the best of postcodes, wife also driving....shes got nil NCB due to a recent accident, car not garaged. Could have had it for 525 without the NCB protection.

Feeling smug...

Some bargain quotes there... I pay around £1300 a year with Tesco although that does cover me for up to 30,000 miles per annum, 29 years old, car on drive, full NCD, average post-code, protected NCD, nil points (have a four leaf clover next to my road angel). None of the usual suspects ever seem to be able to touch Tesco but may try some of the suggested ones above next time.
Present:...
Lotus Evora GT410 Sport, Caterham 420R, CCM Spitfire, VW T2 Bay Window 1976

Past:
DB11 AMR, 992, 991.2, Yamaha MT01, 640d Gran Coupe, 635d Coupe, RS6 C5, Audi TT 225 Coupe, Astra with wind up windows, Citroen ZX, Rover 213, yes behold, a Rover 213... Renault 5

I have just renewed with Privilege (subsidiary of direct line). Max no-claims, car not garaged, wife to drive, protected ncb, 35 years old with one SP30, living in low risk postcode.

Cost was £738 which I think is ok. I put my details into www.confused.com before renewing and nothing came close.

One thing to double check with these low cost quotes is the policy on modifications. Many will forbid any form of modification - changing the wheels or even fitting RS6+ discs on your car may well void your insurance.

Gary.

I use Direct Line as well Tony. 680 fully comp and protected no claims for my modded RS4 not so far away from you mate. Have found them to be the cheapest for me consistently over the past 4 years or so.
