Hi everybody first of all want to say hi to everyone! I have just come across this site.

I dont have a audi yet but planning to buy a A6 very soon. Just wanted to know what my best option would be? I was looking at the A6 2.7 T Quattro. But temptations go over to the S6's .Bit juicy or what?

Anyway wanted to know can I put the Rs6 bumpers on the S6 or do I have to modify? Also where can I source the bumpers etc. Sorry if this is the wrong section and also I cannot afford the RS6 but I love the bodykit!!.

Hi and welcome,
i had a A6 2.7T up until this january(from sept 04) and i must say it was a very reliable well built car, mine had the tiptronic which i think is the best option on that engine in the A6. fuel consumtion is not bad either but depending on how you drive it, on long journeys expect around 35mpg. Servicing, brakes and discs are quite cheap, the only expensive one is the cam belt change where the front of the car has to be removed mine was around £600 from Audi, but go to a specialist and this will be cheaper.
I got my RS6 in jan this year and there is quite a few differences, all wheel arhes are wider, different bumpers and skirts, 19" wheels, quite alot of work involved if you plan doing the body style. Why not go for the A6 4.2? got the same body as the RS6 and a bit cheaper than the S6

Thanks Johny for your sound advice. I am looking at a A6 2.7T as I currently have a R/rover 4.6 and my wallet has gone very thin footing out al the fuel bills if you see what I mean. I basically want a car that looks good and aggressive and will scare the little saxo owners. But seriously I would love the 4.2 but I am fed up with the frequent trip to petrol pump so my eyes are on the A6T. buddy do you know anyplace that does the RS6 bodykits for the standard A6? Any inks or any pics would be a bonus dude.

Also when is the cam belt due on the 2.7T?

when i had mine it was 3 years or 40k,
