Brake pads

Post by Tadass910 » Sun May 30, 2021 5:26 pm

Hello, my car 2014 year model 130.000 km mileage, any ideas how often brake pads should be changed, I have ceramic discs by the way.

P.s as I understand it should appear a pad light on a dash board that brake pads should be changed?

Thanks for information

How do they look visually? Is it on its 1st or 2nd set of pads?

Looo.... as in in can you see some brake pad friction material or is just the metal backing plate visible when you look at the pad through the wheel, or better still take the wheel off

Did some photos of my front pads, don’t know if it makes sense, maybe cleaning car and discs plus pads with huge water steam can solve issues, maybe it’s just a dust, because when I brake gently no squeaking at all

Looks like you still have plenty of 'meat' aka pad material left on them so dont need changing yet. Look like about 50% life yet.
So you get no squeal when driving slow?
