The valves are electrically powered to the "closed" position (unless dynamic is selected) so with the ignition off (no power) the valves will be kept open under spring power.

So as soon as you remove the plug from the valve (with the ignition on or off) the valves no longer have the power they need to stay closed, so they open and will remain open all the time. The Milltek plug does nothing for the valves, it just fools the ECU into thinking the valves are still connected.

I've fitted my valve delete modules - nice and easy to do. Cable tied one side and tucked up the other side.

However, I'm quite underwhelmed by the difference. Is there a particular sequence to connect them - i.e. ignition on, in dynamic mode etc, or just disconnect and plug in module with ignition off (as I did)?
Have a look at your valves. Are they open or closed?

Didn't realise they'd be visible - I'll take a look up the chuff in the morning.

They look like this (flap on the outer pipe)

Which is a bit of a disappointment that they're not part of the oval like the C5/6 but probably makes it cheaper/easier to make instead.

Whilst you can see them if you look closely at least the back boxes and tailpipes are black. It's the one disappointing thing about aftermarket exhausts in that boxes and pipes are silver and they are hugely obvious.
