Tracker Needed

My new car had a tracker fitted, which I did want to reactivate. However, I wasn't given any details, just two black fobs (which in turn don't have much in the way of details on them).

Is there any way to work out what it is without phoning around (which given the comments about insiders above, I would hestiate to do)? What do Cobra fobs look like (given I think this the most logical).

A related question - not about where the tracker itself is located but how the fob sensor works on Cat 5 trackers (and where the sensor would be put). Is there a sensor somewhere you have to touch the fob to? Am getting a new RS6 and deciding on what to do about trackers - the fob aspect is putting me off a bit - dont really want it to mess up the interior if a sensor is needed.

It's a transponder that you just keep on your person. No touch sensor or anything like that.
