RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
Figures....but does it have the full functionality?
Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
Understood - my thoughts there are that it may just be one of those 'expected' boxes to have been ticked when it comes to re-sale. I could handle a long-ish build as I want 6 months at least with the B8.doodlebug wrote:Exclusive paint will bugger up build times.
I'm not sure PE has so much more that it's going to make a material difference, there's no more torque. Still, i'd take DRC every time with the C7.

Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
Maybe. Though actually I'd steer clear of exclusive paint. The one car I had suffered horrendous lacquer peel!
Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
Agreed! But it's not unique either. It was a complete and utter ball ache to have it sorted.boff wrote:must have been friday when applied
Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
Not sure. He only did the coding a couple of days ago and I've not spoken to him since. I'll bell him tomorrow to find out.doodlebug wrote:Figures....but does it have the full functionality?

Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
Also please bear in mind that the new TT is a complete different platform. The C7 doesn't come with any camera and or radar unless you spec the assistance pack. Granted that maybe speed limit can be coded (if you have speced the assistance pack).kmpowell wrote:ACC works in two ways. The first is by using the front camera and the radar then merging the two data streams together, the other way is the same as used on the VW golfs which just runs off the front camera, the SAME camera that's fitted to the TT. So it means you can also add things like traffic recognition as well... all runs off the one device.doodlebug wrote:Adaptive implies the radar was fitted. Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
I'll correct you there. The FL C7 has a camera under the rear view mirror. I believe this is for the matrix led headlight assist.Heden wrote:Also please bear in mind that the new TT is a complete different platform. Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
There is no such thing as ACC driven off just a camera on any car, ACC requires radar as a minimum. I am pretty sure that ACC also uses the ultrasonics on the C7 platform, and Speed Limit Display and Traffic Sign Recognition are the same thing. Last time I looked at the VCDS thread it had not been possible to get Speed Limit Assist coded up successfully via VCDS but that may have changed since then, and Night vision definitely uses it's own dedicated infra-red camera mounted in the front rings.
Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
The cost of night vision would suggest it is a hardware addition but pretty sure this can be retrofitted for a large fee if you really want it eddie (pretty sure it was an additional camera).
When I was reading about the speed display it was an old thread and it was possible by using a kufatec dongle to make the coding changes and someone was trying to work out what bits it actually changed to get it be able tk do it without the dongle. If it is not already cracked it is only just a matter of time.

Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
I wasn't asking cause I wanted one. I was just curious to know after reading that piece of that thread that certain things could be switched on via VCDS. I for sure know things don't come for free that easy. Lol.MikeFish wrote:The cost of night vision would suggest it is a hardware addition but pretty sure this can be retrofitted for a large fee if you really want it eddie (pretty sure it was an additional camera).

Re: RS6 Performance Edition is Open to Order.
I often wondered how many cameras a fully specced RS6 has. Does anyone know the answer?
