don't know about the C8 RS6 but the S6 is fecking Huge see it in the show room
it would be a struggle keeping on your side of the road
Indeed it is, saw one the other day and it strikes me that if the RS6 is any wider it will be a challenge on some of the lanes here in Devon, let alone multi story car parks across the land. I think I will sadly dip out of the C8, just too much heft but I've no idea where to go next. Maybe an RS4, M5, or push the boat out for an S63 or get a runabout and a 992 when the manual comes out. First world problems.

Not sure if these pictures are doing it any justice, but looks so much like a B9 RS4 .

Wonder what the dimensions are, I'd heard it's bigger than the C7. Looks amazing though.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

It's OK but prefer my C7 and don't like the grille, rear bumper/splitter and the wheels on all the new Audi's look cheap and nasty. Like something from Hot Wheels pr Fast N Furious. If it is wider it won't fit through most of the stupidly narrow width restrictions or multi-stories near me.

I'll withhold judgement until I see one in the flesh though.

Yeah I totally agree with you Shagga. I keep thinking we could all be biased owning the C7. BUT I remember when the C7 came out and it just looked so bloody awesome (and of course still does). It was such a massive improvement (i.e totally different car) to the C6, which was dull in comparison. For me the C8 should have that same WOW factor over the C7, but it doesn't, well not in the images anyhooo.

Like others have said and IMO, hot wheels, RS4 like, front looks squashed, not great design rear trim\splitter - good rear lights tho'. You wait, we will all be singing its praises when we actually see one in the metal  .

Order book opens Monday apparently...

I’d rather see one in the fresh first, I think.

Audi UK site is down for maintenance just now though - so maybe the configurator is being updated!

My dealer told me the configurator would be up on 1st Nov at some point.......

Here's hoping

Well that’s a huge minus point....Audi should have stipulated that this excitable chimp boy not be allowed anywhere near RS models.
Archie Hamilton is just a seriously annoying toolbag.

Prices now out, 3 different specs to chose, standard, carbon black and vorsprung. Standard starting price is £92,750 otr, Carbon Black is £100,650 otr and Vorsprung is £109,250.

Don’t know the full specs but they all seem to have laser lights as standard, no black styling on standard model and only silver 22inch wheel upgrade. Carbon black & Vorsprung gets all black styling and 22” black wheels as standard. DRC costs £1,300, sports exhaust costs £1,450 and Pan roof costs £1,950 on standard and Carbon Black specs. Other highlights are Matt individual paint is £6,000 and carbon ceramic brakes are £9,200. Standard paint options are free with the exception of Sebring Black crystal which is £1,650.

All the above is from the Dealer Configurator so I’m sure it will be on the main Audi site in the next couple of days.

My spec came out at £110k not including Ceramics. Too rich for me I’m afraid, that’s about £15k more expensive than the same spec C7 performance version. :beerchug:

I am inclined to agree, when you get into £100k + territory it's a whole different proposition. Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh though and I am certain the man maths calculator will kick in. All that said, I think I will downsize next time in any event, but the RS6 is a special car.
