Saabs - yes they did turbo two strokes. I'll have a word with a Saab master Tech about this to get teh low down.

Had a word with a client who deals with bikes and small motors and feels that a 2 stroke can be charged but it is difficult. Firstly, a 2 stroke motor relies heavily on the design of the exhaust system to provide back pressure to the combustion chamber. A turbo in the way will affect the level of back pressure and will need a careful redsesign of the exhaust system. Secondly, you may have to change the gaskets in the crank to cope with the extra crankcase presuure. His advice is to follow the "normal" route of bigger carb, porting and polishing and exhaust change (necessary as part of the other changes).

Well, atm it has a bored out cylinder, copper head gaskets (instead of paper 1's), nos, lightweight flywheel, i have highered the compression, increased the timing of the engine by 10 degrees, k&n air filter, 3 stage carbon reed valve, and a high flow exhaust and will be porting the carb out at the weekend and will fit a bigger jet in at the same time. So any1 got any ideas for bigger power, cba stripping engine again unless i have to put i stronger rod in!

Just as an update, i am no longer fitting a turbo to the bugger! I am (with help from a friend) making a custom, twin engined mini moto. 2 engines side by side linked by the crankshaft working in sync (hopefully)!
When it is completed i will post up full spec!
