Advice needed on a sort of turbo!!!

Post by Harper--D » Tue Dec 18, 2007 12:43 am

Right, heres a question, i was wondering if i fitted 2 of these to my twin engined mini moto (1 on each carb), would it be very beneficial, i will have a 16mm venturi instead of 12mm and will get a huge jet if these are beneficial enough. All serious advice welcome!!!

"A sort of turbo"....it's just a fan isn't it? It's level of compression isn't likely to rise with increased engine revs so its effectiveness is going to diminish...if it has any in the first place. "Up to 35% power increase" mmmmm!

If you are going to increase the charge in the crankcase and therefore the cylinder...what will you do about the timing - can that be altered?

Hmmmmm. Unless you can get them spinning at turbo speeds (which I very much doubt) then they will just add weight!

Remember, don't port it too much, my mates was unrideable due to nasty powerband!! He just kept flipping it :bash:

well u have an enlarged venturi to induct air better at high speed, so i presume its a high rpm engine in which case this will be a restriction. this would give you low end torque but not a lot more
