Re: Brake Judder
As far as I am aware the much discussed RS3 break squeal still doesn't have a permanent solution.
Mine is going in for a judder issue; Master Tech was ordering in replacement disks and pads, no mention of them being anything different to the current stock item.

Re: Brake Judder
If the RS charter still exists (which I believe it does) it replaces discs and pads if such vibration issues are reported within the first 2 years of ownership but only 1 time. Then reliant on goodwill.
Having not really looked at the RS3 discs are they directionally vaned or pinned / slotted? If the latter they are like the Brembo RS4 discs that did eactly the same. Problem was cured with them with harder compound brake pads in EBC Yellowstuff or Ferrodo DS2500's but I do like the idea of some Loba discs this time....

Nice, new disks.
Get the alu carriers coated/protected when new.

I suspect the loba upgrade will be the only way I can stop my grinding and judder

Re: Brake Judder
good luck geek
btw when you say fronts replaced in full - would that mean disks, calipers and brake pads?

Disks and pads....no issues identified with calipers.

Sorry chap, posted the associated update onto the other thread I had running on my cars drive line issue.
Essentially, 1mm+ run out on each disk that couldn't be pinned to a specific root cause. Paid close attention to bedding in with my Master Tech doing the first two runs at it personally.

The sort of run out sounds like highspots caused by pad deposition just from experience on the RS4 discs; I hope not....

Mine is the first that I am aware of though, not seen another 3 owner reporting like issues or have I missed something?
I wasn't overly careful with bedding in first time round....it's been done properly second time so let's see.
Re: Brake Judder
What bedding in procedure did you use?
Master Tech aren't allowed over 70mph are they?
Glad you got it sorted Mate.
