Door latch issue

My rear drivers door is not unlocking from the outside, inside handle works fine. It seems to work okay after this but if I then lock the car and unlock it again doesn't work.

anybody had this issue and had it fixed? Don't mind tackling it myself if its easy enough but if part are expensive then I'll try a warranty claim.

IS a common problem on MK II TT's mine does it pain in the arse, Not sure anyone has a solution yet

Mine did something similar. Apparently it's the solenoid that is failing. Not a big deal to fix so you could probably do it yourself - the guy who did mine said he had seen this problem before.

I have the same issue, I just can't be bothered taking the door card out in this cold weather.
