How do you check mafs

Vagcom the car fairly often and suprised ive never lost one,do you have to do a power run and use the results to check the maf?

yup that is what i have done - 3rd gear log from 2k to limiter

Unplug it.; If the cars runs same or better, it is stuffed.

you can check maf on vag as long as the car is fairly std. do it then post your logs. i think a std rs4 maxxes out the maf at 330 g/s ish, so just see what it does .

Thanks fellas, I will try this out when i have her back in action,im pretty sure all is ok as its always performed well,but after replacing the pre cat lambdas thought it a good idea to check

Some of the MAF's are crap. It is worthwhile checking periodically. Audi do exchange units quit cheap.
