Guys

For those of you who have bought and fitted the adaptable UCA kit from awesome Gti (034), did you have any issues when fitting?

Apparently there is a 2mm gap where the pinch bolt goes through, and when tightened to torque the added stress has cracked the aluminium slightly

That is interesting, I'm considering going for these soon but if they have been known to crack when tightened that is not good!

Ok, the arms aren't the problem, the torque setting are 40nm, and the kit does not state this, and apparently factory settings are 68nm, so when tightened to factory, the extra stress has cracked the aluminium on the upright slightly.

The 2mm gap is always present according to 034, even on the OEM arms, so don't worry about that.

Now I'm on the look out for a replacement upright :|

£300 from Audi as mine split too and a big job to change it. Strip the brake calliper, disk and hub assembly.

I had one of mine crack when fitting the kW adjustable kit. You're looking at about £350 for a new one

Speak to this breaker, both sides could well have an in tact upright:
