The cost of the service will probably cover the extra. Haha.
They knocked back my complaint about the zinc inclusion on the rear door even though my mates car had it fixed FOC claiming that his got done because it was 1 year newer than mine. I don't see how that makes a difference though seeing as they say it originates from when the cars are first painted. I guess it's just down to how they're feeling on the day and how you interact with them when pursuing a claim. I suppose they could've said no to all the work getting done so I'm happy at that.

when i phoned audi uk i got the impression they dont like complaints and i lay it on thick,at the end they actually phoned audi at the silverlink which was there idea and spoke to them direct.but i dont agree that every customer with same complaint has to have a different outcome.but like yourself im happy with outcome.

Will post the response when they get back to me!
Well, having questioned Audi UK's offer of a 70% contribution towards the repair, I was told by my dealer this morning that AUK won't increase their offer, so it's going to cost me about £200. Not that much for me to shell out I know, but it's still a bit disappointing/annoying that their 12 year corrosion warranty isn't a full one. So it's going in for a new wing next week.

Mine's going in on the 18th, is yours getting 1 wing or 2?
Suppose I'd better get myself ready for the joys of a Clio then.

Got mine back today from the main dealer with 2 new front wings (they discovered a small patch of corrosion on the n/s wing when it went in for the o/s wing to be replaced). Really good job and cost me £350 as my contribution. Very pleased :D

well got me car back today and I got to admit apart from a great job done I have really missed me RS,8 days without her seemed 8 weeks :biggrin3: ,,was nice to start her up and listen to that sweet v8 noise instead of a 1.6 oil burner that I got for a courtesy car haha..I think someone had taken it for a bit of a small drive coz I noted down the mileage before dropping her off and there was 5 extra miles on clock  .when I picked it up the bloke said"did you not miss putting fuel in the clio all the time like you do in the RS" I said did I hell mate just giz keys I want to floor it straight away!!  :jump: anyway like I said job well done, next is booking it in for a service with audi :biggrin3:

cheers jay

Had an oil, filter and spark plug service done and when I got it back it had lost power, as if my stage 2 map was no longer there. Hopefully just caused a vacuum leak somewhere when they've been working on it. They've had it back since last Wednesday so should find out more tomorrow.
