I would be interested if it was confirmed that it would def pass its emission test come MOT time, have you had a MOT pre check for emissions?

Emission levels are controlled by the cats which remain entact, I can't see any problems come MOT time.

As Rob said, as there is nothing done to the cats and it is essentially a cat back modification there is not effect on emmissions.

I run an MOT testing centre, and I can assure you, just changing the pipes rear-ward of the CATs and the Lambda sensor's, will have little or no effect on the emissions result

I wouldn't worry about the pipes making you fail, it's the dreaded DRC that is more likely too.........lol

I'm not worried Jim having had a fully modified S4 with 200 cell cats and s/s full system that passed emmissions, this car isn't going to be any different. But for Sonny's peace of mind I can show this to be the case at MOT time.

Sound clips

Post by davefaedeen » Mon Jun 22, 2009 9:45 pm

Hi PG

I know this is an old tread but i was wondering if you have any sound clips of the AAS Xpipe, i just got an RS4 and i want more noise, just cant seem to justify spending 1600 on a miltek system and the AAS system (cash wise) seems to be the way forward!!

Cheers

I tried to record it but the equipment I had was limited and got more background noise than anything else.

gogsyp, Klauster or caldy would be able to vouch for what is sounds like (I hope!)

It has been for me and I love the throttle lift off pop the exhaust makes too. Put it this way it is circa £300 and if you don't like it you can just put your centre resonator section back on!
