Update II:

I have found a supplier who will supply at the following prices if the order is for 3 or more exhausts:

Non res, valved, silver tipped £1,340.10
Non res, valved, black tipped £1,684.80

I can get other prices for cats, resonated or non valved etc as required.

Waiting on the other suppliers to reply.

I'll be having one at that price, so I need two more orders. Not sure on the logistics of getting the orders, I assume if we all ring the supplier with our order quoting my name we can get the discount and he'll deliver to each person once he's got 3 payments.

Open to other suggestions on how to work it.

Only because I had put the VCA guidleines on there and it was a continuation on of the information I has originally posted. I could have started a new thread but couldn't be arsed!

No malice intended.

count me in fella - im after as said before, valved non res black tipped.

pm me or post where to phone and who to speak to.

many thanks for taking the time to sort something out.

regarding the cats - ive read the posts, but think youd be mighty unlucky to get fined.

ive changed cats on several cars over the years - the last in january on a mazda 3mps. never had any hasstle form the garage who put it on or the place that later did an mot. wouldnt stop me changing a cat on any car - they have to prove when it was done in the first place which might be a tad tricky - unless theyre going to trace serial numbers?

I'd check if they have them ready to go. I ordered mine for my S4 and it was nearly 2 months until I got it as they were on back order awaiting the next production run. The noise is worth the wait though

That's not strictly true, if your car is regsitered post 2001 and has non type approved cats on it, it apparently doesn't matter when the cats were replaced you would be investigated. You would have to prove (not them) they were replaced before August 2009 before the legislation took place otherwise you are asked to replace them and if not a fine of £5,000 per cat.

You may be unlucky but I don't have £10K to pay up to take the risk. And garages who supply and fit are also under scrutiny.

Thats the set up I have (bar the black tips) and I must say I am very impressed with the sound esp combine with a BMC panel filter. There is a clip on here of me doing a few laps at Brands, dig that up, should be able to give you an idea of the noise.
