anyone had to have a new clutch?
RE: Re: RE: Re: clutch faulty
When you say clutch pipe, do you know what that is exactly?
RE: Re: RE: Re: clutch faulty
Clutch fluid return pipes, associated with the hydraulic system. when these split, you loose pressure and can not activate gears, you can NOT crash the gears either, only way is to turn engine off, select gear, start engine and move the car (only a very short distance). its more of a emergency procedure.
Another way to check if your leaking fluid, some f it may drip down onto the underside of the car or on your driveway, will appear to be like a oily wax.

Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Great, thanks. I'll take it in next week and let you all know what Audi find.

My last B6 S4 suffered with identical symptoms. The 'self adjusting' pressure plates basically start to brake up. All replaced under warranty, with a new flywheel too.^Qwerty^ wrote:It does it radomly in stop/start traffic (i.e. driving in York on the way in/out of work in busy traffic) and also nearly on demand when you use full revs in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, then change back to 3rd. The pedal stays on the floor and I loose drive. There is then a bang as the clutch unjames itself and drive returns.
