I just pulled my breather hoses off...almost bone dry...I was actually surprised...I expected oil to drip out...

there is a baffle built into the valve cover also...

you could put a baffle/seperator on each cover, or where the hoses join...
problem is, any oil is entrained, a mist, and may pass...perhaps a charcoal filter type...

something like this on each valve cover... http://www.mahle.com.br/C125705E004FDAF ... 3329WEBBEN

the M3 drops it right into the manifold in front of an intake runner...
below it is a sump and drain hose with check valve that goes to the sump
the valve opens upon loss of vacuum, ie, when car is turned off, allows the accumulated oil to drain into the sump...

I'm beginning to think the deposit problem is related to the ambient temperature and ethanol level in the fuels. Most of the severe intake valve deposits cases I've heard of have been in cold winter climates. High levels of ethanol oxygenate ("contaminants") are also used in these climates in the winter. Ethanol blending is not precise in many regions. In some cases it is close to 20% of the fuel.

Because the large volume of volatile material being recycled through the PVC and past the valves is fuel, ethanol and water from dilution. These engines run 1% to 3% fuel in the oil.

So my car is now back home safe and sound. :jump_clap: :jump_clap: :jump_clap:

The inlet tract is squeaky clean once again and the solution that will hopefully put an end to this issue is on the car.

Once again my thanks go to Doug & MRC - I really can't recommend them enough.

While the car was there she also received a set of adjustable H&R front & rear anti-roll bars for good measure - I drove back in heavy traffic so the roads didn't open up until the end of the journey but first impressions are the car is stiffer & more level in the bends. Change of direction is also a lot sharper now. The front bar is set to soft and the rear to stiff to helppromote over rather than under steer. I hope to get out for a few hours over the week so will give a better review soon.

But the final mod to be done on this visit and possibly the best one I’ve done to date - Doug removed the amber 'egg yokes' from the front lens - it makes so much difference to the front end, especially phantom black 8)

Oh excellent news bud, and what is this device (solution) that's will put a end to the build up (if it works they will have a lot of custom ahh).

When they removed the orange lenses what dd they replace them with, iv been thinking of doing this too for some time now.

The Amber caps haven't been replaced with anything, all you need is a replacement silver bulb. I can send a pic to help you visualise if it helps?
