Umm, good point. Your car is stage 3, so it has stage 1, 2 also. What can we do to the B7 as there doesn't seem to be any stage 1, 2 or 3. So I would imagine that our equivelent of your stage 3 is an MTM charger? Wouldn't you agree?

I do believe with the right driver in each car, with the setup done properly the will be very little in it.

Its also interesting that this seems to be the view of most others I have met who have owned both cars, and as Simple1 says, he still owns both and he agrees.

In the meantime any other constructive views or comments on the setup of the B7 would be apreciated.

Varisty, best suspension upgrade bar none is the Stasis Tracksport suspension, which uses Ohlin dampers, same as used on the Stasis A4 raced here in the US, and same damper type used on the R10 Audi LeMans car. Stasis designed this suspension and tested it specifically for racing and road use.

I had a ride in a B5 RS4 with Stasis suspension a while back. Unbelievable, chalk & cheese with the H&R suspension I have :(

Have the Audi Super Sport Suspension on the car as is.

My 300C SRT-8 has the KW Variant 2 suspenion on it and it is awesome. Helped with Hotchkiss ARB of course. The car actually goes around corners now.

David, can you translate the expression "Chalk and Cheese" for someone who's native language is not English? I'm a damn American.

And yes, those who have the Stasis Tracksport suspension over here rave about it, like their in a cult. Quite a few have dumped the DRC for Stasis right after delivery of their cars, and quite a few race competitively with the suspension. Here's what Stasis says about it, and that is backed up by countless user testimonials.

BTW, I have zero interest in Stasis, and do not have the system installed myself ... possibly in the future, though.

Yes, sure, chalk and cheese as in opposites.

The H&R coilovers are a good upgrade in terms of performance over standard B5 S4 & RS4 suspension. Also decent value for money IMO. I've no experience of the B7 RS4 on Stasis suspension.

The Stasis on the B5 RS4 was a big step up from that, even though I was only a passenger. The car was very low and set very stiff but for track use, it was stunning. I'm no expert but planted is the word I would use. Riding kerbs and bumps on the track did not seem to worry it much and I expect the differences would be much more obvious from the driving seat too.

Not sure how the drive home was though :) firm ride I expect.

Agreed. But I have come from Stage1 S2 to Stage3/4 B5 S4 to B6 S4 to B7 RS4.
