Must be tight! B6 S4 345mm discs are snug as a bug in a rug under B5 S4 17s - I have the thickness of a wheel weight clearance [on my B5 winters] - so I'd have thought the max that would be 345+25 = 370 mm under 18s

What about S8 rear ceramics, could they work?

The B7 RS4 was available from new with 18's as an option so the standard brakes will fit.

If the ceramics have a larger heat shield then that might be a problem.....

Angle grinder and £6000 brakes a set too far?

If you specified the front ceramics option, you got 19" wheels as part of the package - so Audi didn't think that 18" wheels would fit over the front ceramics.

As it says in the hardback RS4 book: "note: only in combination with 19-inch wheels".

Well that solves that one then. I guess you would want the bigger wheels anyway given the extra braking performance available.

I wonder if anyone on here is running 18's on their car and how it affects the ride quality?

There was a blue Avant on autotrader a while back but that car was the only one I have seen.

18" were standard with 19" as the option in most countries, the UK was one of the few countries where 19" were standard with 18" as the option.

What was the offset on the OEM 18's... thinking about a track tire, as an 18 would be cheaper, better and more options...

Rare! Super stealthy, came in both 8.5 and 7.5" fitment, the later being offered on the continent as the winter option.

Almost looks like a Lotus Carlton! If the spoke were angled slightly it'd be not far off!

Doesn't the B8 RS4 and the RS5 come with ceramic rears as an option? Those would obviously be a good match but you'd be lucky to find a cheap set.

I don't think so, the rears of the ceramic spec cars look plain steel
