That one from october probably had a flexible end, just like the endoscopes they use in Ear Nose Throat to go up your nose and down to the vocal chords. Not cheap. Do most engine boroscopes do this?

Yeah, we tried with their borescope but it's just a bendy one (technical term). Tried for 40 mins to get it to bend up the cylinder but nope just got a very nice view of the shape of the top of the piston :(

Ok, first dyno results. They waited until we had 2 near identical runs.

Apologies for the dodgy photo, I don't have a scanner on me.

Wow, those figures do look low.
I think any clean will give good results on those.

BTW, I have a feeling that Costco (yes you read that right), do a bendy borescope.

Good effort for doing this and posting it.

Nice one Tony, thanks for sharing.

Did you do a vacuum check prior to dyno run?

Hrm, no, got a howto - or do I need VCDS for that? I won't do anything about it now though so as not to mess with comparison. But does sound like I'm pretty low to start with. Lad at RStuning said it wasn't the lowest he'd seen though - they had one do 330 the other week apparently.

FAIL FAIL FAIL.

This is a disaster of a test. They decided they can't actually do the terraclean. Fuse for fuel pump disables ignition (immobiliser?) so can't get car to run without disconnecting fuel pump itself, which they are convinced will mean taking fuel tank off. :bash:

Sorry to everyone for wasting your time.

Gonna go and punch a wall or something after wasting half a day on this. Over and out.

Yeah :/ The owner said that sometimes it takes a bit of fiddling to find the right places to plug into the fuel lines but just now told me they had a TTRS in the other day that they couldn't do for the same reason. *Sigh*.

The photos of the place on the website are a little deceiving to say the least.

How do they rig this system up then?

Sounds very bizarre to me.

Did you tell them you were doing independent before and after tests :-)

The machine replaces the fuel supply while it runs, so the machine plugs into the fuel supply and the return so the car runs off the system until the cans of the product are gone. It's pressurised to match the pressure of the fuel pump and burns the modified terraclean fuel from the machine... blah blah... no hydrocarbons... blah blah... arophatics... blah blah... aromatics... blah blah... negatively charged particles... blah blah...

Wouldn't be happy with them wasted your time would be giving the owner a fecking telling about promoting a product they don't fully know how to use on your car after fill you full of <beep> about the benifits of it when they can't even hook it up
