I see you're after a Sprint Blue, so you should hold out for the right car in the spec you want it. Very much depends on budget but here's a couple from a quick look on Pistonheads:-

This looks like a nice car but no bucket seats:-

Still dont get why your so hung up on owners tbh mate, most performance cars have a lot of owners and can sometimes be a positive thing , as long as maintenance has been adhered to and you do all the checks .....i would broaden your horizons
RS4 B7 Saloon, Phantom Black , Billy B14 and ss+ arbs, LED's all inside & out with Dectane LED tailights. deflap, MRC Stage 2, Carbon Clean, no pre-cats, Custom Blueflame non res cat back exhaust, AP Racing Discs, alcantara wheel, gaiter and handbrake retrim, R8 gearknob, red belts (anyone want to swap belts for black ;-/ ) 438PS

Maybe...Untill your unlucky...

I own a 911...As I said before...Have spent close to £10k if not more in putting right what was neglected by the previous owners.. granted may not be the case all the time...But once it happens you learn to be cautious.

I don't see why the risk of getting caught out like that is any lower with a low owner car. Whether it is 1 owner or 6 owners, you need to check it has been looked after properly. And even then there is still a risk, even the best looked after cars will have items suddenly fail that showed no signs of failing previously.

Yes mate i agree, but owners has nothing to do with it, a car could have 30 vs 1 owner and the 30 owner car could have been cared for more. Just my opinion, its your car 8)

Was near bedford today to get some coding done on the 911...and called up a friend..

Managed to view 5 RS4's today..

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... asc&page=1

This had 4 owners, discs completely gone front and rear - was told the price reflects this - scratches on the wind and rear panel. rear arches had stone chips..driver side door had been resprayed and looked awful. went for a test drive, car drove fine found it to be little slow..got back and steam was coning out the front - smelt like coolant..

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... dr/6850937

4 Owners, car was okay condition, however front end had been re-sprayed, driver seat was worn, S button on the wheel was completely worn - car drove fine though..lights did not line up and were sticking out when looking at the car from the side to front..

Saw another 3 cars, they had also been resprayed..and the body work was not in the best of conditions...

I also noted the exterir trims..silver ones are stained..on the windows and the rear boot lid..can these be cleaned up..

ASM reviews not looking good.
ASM are selling my B7 RS4 on my behalf and I cant fault them. I know a few people who have bought and sold with them and they've all been happy too.

Mine is the Black one with 1 previous owner

Mine old one is for sale at SCC Leeds. I was 5th owner on mine when buying at 24k, kept it to 72k.

FASH, all the major work done. Oil cooler, drc, inlet manifold, decoked.

Would benefit a couple of refurbs, a small scrape on the back which was very minor and a cheap fix and the door was a little squeaky but mechanically totally solid and looked after.

I had chat with MRC - whos name seems to be everywhere in regards to tuning Audis...

They said to factor in £1k for a carbon clean - if it requires it..wow..did not think it would be that expensive...can this be done by anyone? or is this a job for MRC?

Did not realise stock cars 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears are limited to 50% throttle from factory... why would Audi do this? There stage 2 map takes off these limitations..this would explain why the car is so sluggish possibly?

Precat removal, rear box unsure whihc one, and a stage 2 remap..

Don't worry about a carbon clean, it's pointless other than for boasting about peak figures.
A lot of cars limit torque in lower gears to stop wheel spin and stop you trashing the gearbox / running gear. However I read a very good scientific post on here years ago proving that you can never use any more throttle than is already available in those gears.
