Update on the car

Up at the garage for 730 this morning got it on the lift so I have replaced the clutch bearing slave cylinder clutch lever & replaced the rubber pipe for a braided pipe.
All back together bleed the system and everything is working fine

Having inspected all the parts I replaced I can't find any faults with any of them...

Any way I now have gearbox removal and replacement to a fine art now haha.

You got one fabricated instead or you picked up a right hand drive specific one?

Arse... I've just had one of these delivered. I thought I'd seen others on the forum using this setup?

You will be able to use it but you will need a braided pipe made to suit and long enough to attach from the slave to the metal pipe just coming down from the firewall I just didn't have time to get one made

Just ordered Robnic's braided pipe instead... Too much faffing about already... My flywheel has been stuck in customs for over a week and no sign of it getting to Parcel Force anytime soon... T'is the season I guess! Rob's team were great at getting the pipe sorted... Friday before Christmas... Had it made & shipped before lunch time!

3rd gear synchro the main reason it's being done....
If you don't mind saying, can you go in to more detail about what exactly you had rebuilt/replaced on box, how much it cost and how it feels now? Thanks.

The 3rd gear synchro failed leading to crunching going into 3rd.
I've had the gearbox rebuilt - the only thing they found that needed replacing was the 3rd gear synchro, everything else was ok.
When it was put back in the car I had the clutch, master cylinder and uprated return pipe fitted.
About £1600 all in and it feels fine now.
Had it done just before Christmas and done about 600 miles.

Not bad, was that with an OE clutch or LUK? Boggo master cylinder and Robnic clutch i assume from your earlier post. Who dropped/rebuilt/refitted the box please? Thanks.
