I think that can also be changed in the Adaption Channel of the Telephone Module using VCDS.

Is it also in that hidden menu you can change what start up page the FIS is gonna show? Because entering the FIS menu there is nowhere do do this or hide the navigation and laptime pages.

Nope, if the RNS-E has the compass enabled then the DIS will show the compass but if the compass is disabled then the DIS will show the same page it did when the ignition was turned off.

If you don't want the nav instructions to appear in the DIS then you have to change the value in adaptation channel 62 of the instruments to clear the nav bit.

AFAIK there is no way to hide the laptime page in the DIS.

That's what the bottom setting is in radio test menu 3. Adjusting it doesn't change the start up volume Image. Anything else I can try?

Try loudness to off. I tried this the other day and it seemed to work when I turned the car off and on,but not been in the car past 2 days to see if it worked.

It's actually the top line "Volume = 0" that you need to change to set the startup volume (if it will work for you...).

Tried adjusting the 'loudness' to off but no good. I can't seem to get access to the top volume. It goes up or down depending on the volume knob being moved but cant seem to make it stick. Thanks
