Re: Trickle charger?
The ctek you mention is really good, that's what I use if I'm away for a while.
I also bought a cigarette lighter adapter for it so there's no messing about in the boot

Re: Trickle charger?
No worries, it must be an awesome thing to get in the RS after being away for that long! Mine is my daily driver so I've got a bit desensitised to it.
Anawaz, it's in the boot where the spare wheel would be.

Haha yeah you could say that, first time i had driven in a total of 11 weeks was yesterday, deffinately missed it haha
Re: Trickle charger?
Yes it's in the boot, but there is a negative connection under the cover too. This is useful if you reverse into your garage and need then a jump start later.SuprSi wrote:No worries, it must be an awesome thing to get in the RS after being away for that long! I use an optimate charger. Can't remember the model number off the top of my head though. You can buy a special lead for it that bolts on to your battery terminals and has a quick connection plug at the other end to allow you to connect to charger quickly and easily if use it often.

Ctek are the daddy!

I reverse into the garage and its tight, too tight. so can't open the boot. guess i could fold seats down, or explore under the bonnet options ?MikeFish wrote:Yes it's in the boot, but there is a negative connection under the cover too. Re: Trickle charger?
No need to do that if you get a flat battery just pop the bonnet and connect up under the battery cover. The negative terminal is not as obvious, it's just a piece of metal, think it looks like a bit of pipe from memory (it's been a while though).
And have you never looked in your boot properly? Lol can't believe you haven't found the battery yet. There should be a tool box in there too as well as an electric tyre pump and some tyre sealant in case of a puncture.
