I can understand on lower milage cars but anything high milage, what does it really matter?
Servicing - Is it time to go independent
Re: Servicing - Is it time to go independent
I'll be doing all my own servicing/maintenance on mine. The cars 8 years old and just under 80k. If I do come to sell it, by that time it will be 100k plus and almost 10 year sold! So full history isn't really going to gain me much! Plus I don't really think I'll ever sell, dream car and all that!!

I suppose its only really a selling point FASH. I have the same attitude as you, I plan on keeping my car and as long as I put in the right stuff and get it serviced when its due the stamp isn't really going to make much of a difference to a 10yo motor. I suppose if its full audi folk will think its been well maintained etc as like M3's come when the RS4's reach 10yo there'll be a lot of bad ones out there
Red B7 RS4 Saloon......That is all!!
Re: Servicing - Is it time to go independent
My local audi are rubbish too, so I use an indi who really know their stuff when it comes to audis and bmws.
I did want the audi stamp but its not worth it if the car isnt getting the service it deserves.

Cracking value - would love something like that on our 2.0 TDiHYFR wrote:Audi have a nationwide price match scheme on....not sure it applies to RS cars thou, but worth asking.
I took the Mrs A4 Cab to Tamworth Audi today. Bought a service plan for £299 which covers x1 interim and x1 major service. Can't argue with that!

Applies to any car 3-6yrs old up to 2.0 nationwide
Re: Servicing - Is it time to go independent
Superb, may look into this. Did the major service include the brake fluid service?

Re: Servicing - Is it time to go independent
No it doesn't include that or pollen filters.
BFS £59 at Audi which is a bargain.
Pollen Filter costs a few quid from the parts dept and can be done yourself.

Bingo

Most service plans are useless for people who want a yearly service regardless of the mileage. However this plan has no time constrain in the small print.
