One more thing, I find as you peal and get to the edge of the badge you pull the dip sheet away from the badge and gently

Interesting. I'm getting tempted to actually give it a try on my silver window trims.

If u do, buy the cleaner too. Helps keep the surface free from oil or waxes that build up from washing. That will help give a better finish

They don't make a silver yet!
They do a "true metallics anthracite" though which is almost the same as 8AU colour code for the titanium spec mirrors and wheels

Haven't done the window trim yet, I am getting comfortable with the small bits, but I recon they are next!
It's honestly so easy, just lots of light coats and allow to dry between each coat! So it takes time but this gives a smoother finish and when u build up layers, the pealing process is a lot easier.
Can't say this enough, but go check out Fonzi on YouTube at dipyourcar
Did this today too

We should start the 'Faux Ti Avus Silver Owners' Club '
FTASOC lol
How about the rear rings? And did you consider doing the R entirely black?
You could easily 'saw' the RS 4 and rings off with dental floss and then have better Co tool when spraying them. Then just reapply with auto badge adhesive from 3m.

Think i may have to do that Saki with the RS badge to get the red block perfect.
So i have done the rear rings now, the RS badge (thinking of doing the flank ones too) and the front grill surround.
Looking at the mirror removal may try that next and pull it off if it looks sh1t

Ive done the front grille same as you (our pictures look very similar funny enough...I think we discussed this in the b7 RS4 pic thread). I still want to do:hlbeckley wrote:Think i may have to do that Saki with the RS badge to get the red block perfect.

a) rear rings
b) window trim
I will not bother with the mirror caps. For the window trim, I can't see myself being patient enough to do it well, so I will likely just go to a vinyl wrap company and have them do it. A place here has offered to do it for $200 which seems a bit expensive, but hopefully a few of us can band together and get a better deal. I wouldn't vinyl wrap it on my own. It's apparently tough to get the corners right.
plastidip would be pretty easy on the window trim but as I said tough to block off the entire car and not go crazy lol

after 800 kms...
