:shock: how about this then ,my transit van is £12.00 a year dearer to insure than my Rs4 at £540.00,they both have trackers.
my wifes new TT is £280.00 no tracker.

i can only assume the transit has the RS4 engine in it then!!!!

Seriously, though - I debated this topic for a while and decided that if I wanted to protect my car a Tracker alone would not be sufficient. There are plenty of devices out there now to help you stop getting hijacked, and like most other things in life - 2 methods of protection are better than one.

I do beleive though, that most of the insurance companies requesting you take Tracker are underwritten by RBS (who own Tracker), so begs the question about lining their own pockets.

Re the lead container post - most of the Trackers these days have GPS and radio transmitters, and cover Europe too.

(I know some serious guys in the car security industry).

i just had one fitted - Quicktrack - yesterday my alarm went off 30 secs later they called me, was amazed at how quick the response time was. False alarm, lucky really cos im a UNIT and would have ground them into the dirt, im very very sick dont you know?

And i also have 2 very very big guns in my car while i travel, should they be needed, they will be drawn with extreme prejudice.
