S3 Big Turbo (Downpipe Info needed)
Hey guys.
I expect to probably get around 320 out of it. Yes you could push 350 or even more on the standard block. But dont you jave to start thinking about what its like to drive. I drive it every day to work .... i want it to be responsive not laggy. Remember i said my friend specs turbos for garret, he is responsible for the turbo on the EQ400 EVO im sure he knows what he is on about.
Further yeah your right the MOTEC is VERY expensive, this is something i need to sit down and chat about with motec.... what they can offer over and above a CUSTOM remap. I guess ultimately it comes down to the responsiveness of the car ie how it develops the pwr and when. NOT just how much hp it produces. Im sure all the pro mods do use these for a reason.
As for the manifold ...... Maybe they do crack... hope mine does not anyway. The reason i choose to stay with the original is purely because its easy. I want the turbo to be in the same place for all the plumbing.
My mate from Garret has said perfromance gains are not really worth worrying about.
Any way will let you know how it goes.
