Dealer me and 1.6mm tyres
guys picked up my 55 plate 14/7 from Camerons Perth (exemplary service) !!! parked on hard lock today 21/7 noticed inside of front tyres scrubbed. Only done around 400 easy miles since picked up. rear tyres 4mm so they look fine....
Dived into local Kwik Fit and had checked, both insides down to less than 1.6mm, crown and outsides barely 3mm. Reading Audi literature, the min for an approved Audi should be 3mm. raised question with Sales guy who sort of tried to pap me off with the MOT standard comments etc...
The question is, is the 3mm over the whole tyre or is it just over 3/4 of the tread, a la MOT/Police standards
anyone know what the correct interpretation of the Audi approved 3mm rule is.
Ill keep you informed , as i have asked for them to be replaced, hopefully they will as i have had outstanding service so far...
any comments at all would be great
regards yer pal stuart

Not sure.
As for wear this is normal for S4's - they lose the tread on the inside fronts very quickly.

Maserati GranTurismo GTS Auto, S3 Sportback, TT2 3.2 Roadster, Disco3 for the heavy stuff.

I suspect they will argue that if they pay for 1 new tyre, they are effectively giving you 2 half-full tyres (ie average wear) - certainly better than if the car had actually had 3mm minimums on both, so it'll be interesting to see if you can squeeze the extra new tyre from them as well.....
g' luck !!

400 miles since delivery and your tyres are at the legal limit! I would demand a full geometry check and both tyres replaced. Nothing less.
Yes I can see the MOT states across 3/4 of the tread BUT, if you continued driving for the next 1000 odd miles, you could be through to the cords possibly resulting in blow out and loss of control, but hey the rest of the tyre is legal!

I glad about that you would have to be a mug to accept that, stealers will scam what ever they can no adays. I would bet top dollar they new tyres where like that, if you purchased car used from Audi dealer you would get complete car check with the amount of thread on each tyre did you not get this.
