B7 Brake upgrade.

Post by PretendPorsche » Tue Jul 21, 2009 8:03 pm

I know there are already threads on here regarding fitting the b7 setup to the b5, which seems super easy, only thing is do i need to change the hoses, or is that just good practice when ive got the calipers off?

Thanks.

Best to use the RS4 hoses, as the hose fitting on the original hoses is not suitable for the B7 calipers.

Also just thinking another problem could arise here, are my 19" bbs ch's actually going to fit over the b7 setup? i am using a spacer?

If not anyone want to swap 19" for 18"????!!!!!

What is the wheel number of your CH`s?

The 19" CH026 are ET50mm that are often spacered to suit the S4.

The 19" CH009 are the correct ET35mm.

The 18" wheel CH012 will fit straight over the B7 RS4 setup.

The number will be cast into the rim.

If you have any questions give me a ring.

Well that didnt go as easily as hoped!!

Fitted the b7 setup over the weekend, finally got it all on there, but as expected the wheels are causing me problems!!

I am now running a 25mm spacer on the front (could get away with 20mm but 25mm was all i had) so the wheels clear the brakes but now rub on the arches!! Probably wont once the 20mm spacer is on the front, but then i am running 215 tyres, which i need to change to 225!! So im guessing they will rub again then!!

Do you think the 18" ch012 will solve all my problems??!!
