Ming Blue Pearl.
All is still going well with the intercooler
. Remap is brilliant.
But today my car decided it would only run 5psi, but I turned the ignition off and on, and its back to normal, but vagcom has given me this code.
VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-US

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: FMIC Fitted!
Could be down to many things...
Leak
Diverter Valves
N75
Sticky Actuator on turbo
MAF (Possibly, doubt it. You only just changed it and was fine)
I would check the following:
N75
-------
Check connector and pins as they are prone to damage. You'll need to pull the rubber boot back to do this.
Could check the signal.
Look in vag-com to see when its playing up. Check block 115 to see pressure differences
A mullered N75.
DVs
-------
Ideally you need a hand vacuum pump to check negative pressure on actuator input. You can even watch them work if you take it right off.
Leak
-------
Even though it was probably good to go a few days ago. Always worth removing it from the equasion. So check it.

Why do they call it rush hour when nothing moves!?!

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: FMIC Fitted!
Pressure tested it, there was a tiny leak from the right hand Bi-Pipe (really high pitched whistle) but fixed that. at around 14psi there is a wierd buzzing noise (sort of sound like an air pump) coming from the photo graphed area.

Sound familiar to anyone??
Any ideas?

Could be your N75.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: FMIC Fitted!
the green one way valve that connects to your F hose is not working correctly

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: FMIC Fitted!
The buzzing felt like it was coming from either the green valve or the black solinoid valve. Whats the part code for the green valve? is it worth change the other green valve at the same time?

the green one way leaks then air foces through the black solenoid(making hte buzz noise) and pressurises the fue tank!

Can't argue with the god.Doug_S2 wrote:the green one way leaks then air foces through the black solenoid(making hte buzz noise) and pressurises the fue tank!

Makes sense.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: FMIC Fitted!
Changed both the green valves (the one not in the picture had gone) and boost pressure tested, all was okay, but just been out for a drive, and it was only making 5psi again, ignition off and on, and back to normal.
Got this fault again.
Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation
I assume that means along with my one way valves, my N75 is on its way out too.
Boost is held steady at full throttle and tails of a couple psi at the redline. But on around 1/4 throttle itll spool up to 15psi and the second it hits 15psi it drops 5si and holds steady at 10psi. and at about 1/2 throttle its the same but 20->15psi.
N75 or could it be anything else?

Re: RE: Re: RE: FMIC Fitted!

HI mate, can i possible borrow this image to get someone to photoshop in filled in side vents?
Going to see what it looks like with solid bumper a the sides, with the big central vent similar to your own.
Dont want to go cutting my bumper up first though!
Give me a shout let me know either way
You get your boost problem sorted?
Cheers
Lewis
