RS4 suspension I thought was 20mm lower?? So this should settle, but that far sounds a bit much. May not quite get the height at the back, but the weight diff between avant and saloon is like full tank vs empty tank of juice.

everything was done and tightened on the 4-point lift (car was in the air)
4-point or 4 post? The latter means the car can sit on full ramps though also lifted through extra jacks if need be.
2 posters have jacking point arms (albeit 2 per side hence 4-point) which suspend the wheels all the time.....

My guess would be that the original S4 suspension was knackered, hence it sat lower than it should have. And then the RS4 suspension being new will probably settle, so the two things together would account for the 25mm difference.

Look on the bright side, you can ride speed humps a lot better.

Take a look at the front lower rear arms, they have a locating shoulder on the subframe to b*tt up against too.... to get that flat you have to rotate the middle bush upwards(or arm...)...... upwardly ......
You can tighten bushes/arms up to chassis in this state .... if its all apart.... fit it in as a proper job on rebuild ......
i doubt it will lower yr car though ...

I think it will be stamped or identified if its GMBH gear ...
happy dayz .... party ....

4-point or 4 post?
4-point (2 posts) - the 4 lift points lift on the chassis - the wheels were hangin' free baby!
