Manifold rattle on facelift S4

Hi there, I've been informed that the manifold rattle that is a common issue for pre face lift S4s has taken up residence in my facelift S4. Is this one of the turbo manifolds that need replacing? If so do you have any advice as to which one I should replace it with. Thanks in advance!

just check the heat shields first if not replace with rs4 seems to be as good results as many aftermarkets with a bit of flowing work

The RS4 maniolds are the same as the facelift manifolds.

Have you been quoted for the work? IIRC it's an engine out job, so you're probably looking at £1000+.

As Andy has said, you should rule out the heat shields incase they are rattling.

If it does turn out to be a manifold and the engine does need to be pulled, there are a number of other parts which are generally advised to be changed whilst it's out.

What other items are suggessted then?

It looks like the engine in my S4 will be dropped shortly. The service documents mention a rattling heatshield on the left side, which is where the turbo is playing up.

With the engine out, this will be a good time to attend to other bits also.
