New Wheels

Post by Alex123 » Wed Jul 09, 2008 8:29 pm

Hi Guys,

Just looking at some RS4 reps but not sure if they will fit. Details are -

Rim Width: 8J
Offset: 33

They're 18" with 235/40 tyres. I've done some searching but can't find any reference to a ET33 ofset. Will they fit ok?

Many Thanks

Thanks MilkybarKid. I ended up buying a different set in the end with a 35 offset. However, i went to fit them this weekend and found that they don't clear the front calipers! Doh!!!

After speaking to the company that supplied them, it turns out that I have a very rare brake caliper which is slightly larger than standard. He's going to send out some spaces so that should do the trick.

Not really sure what the deal is with the calipers though. They look pretty standard and are made by Lucas. The car is one of the mid face lifts so i guess thats probably why.

none of the rs4 b5 reps clear the caliper on the s4, and if you have new brake pads forget about it. i had to use a 5mm spacer and a bit of the old angle grinder to get mine to clear with new discs and pads.

Ah man. Those are the wheels i wanted to get. :(
So these are made by replica? 18"?

So no chance getting them over RS4 callipers and discs then? let alone standard s4.
Why do they call it rush hour when nothing moves!?!

Standard S4, but not for long.

So what you are saying then is its the front of the calliper clearance opposed to the internal circumference of the alloy?

yea the front of the caliper is the problem, the internal diameter of the wheel has plenty of room
