PLX looks interesting, and certainly a match for the dash as its a miniture display!

Pricey though but may be worth considering if you wanted a few functions?

Don't worry - it's not low Richspec. Your gauge measures in psi for both boost and vacuum. Other gauges use inHg for vac and psi for boost. Healthy car should read around 17-20 inHg vac which is the same as ~ neg 8-10 psi (yours looks to read ~-9 psi vac - so spot on)
Deus ex machina
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Heres how i did mine
Thanks for that, with all the other things that need sorting i don't need anything else!

I've spoken to AWE today and they've told me that Omori has ceased trading and they are sourcing some new gauges (probably why they were reduced). In addition, they also said they wouldn't ship to the UK because Regal had paid a load for the selling right. Shame they're so greedy!AdamS4 wrote:Well, i'm not getting a reply from Omori and i've emailed Blitz to see if they do the MD mirror drive gauge in PSI rather than BAR.
There is NO WAY i'm playing £198 for a boost gauge.... AWE/Regal can fu*k right off.
Think I might go with the Blitz gauge. Would be nice to see one in the flesh to make sure it's not too big for a centre vent.

Ah thats why i thought it was low.... SorryS4TAN wrote:Don't worry - it's not low Richspec. Your gauge measures in psi for both boost and vacuum. Other gauges use inHg for vac and psi for boost. That SPA gauge is top of the list so far !!

That is pretty good though really, when you consider Regal charge £188 for a AWE gauge which does one thing. Further gauges are also £100/$200 on their own.g60bv wrote:just what i thought. the only prob is having to run the lead from the vagcom socket to the dash. unless the socet could be moved to a more forward position. $400 plus delivery est $530 £270. gulp.
I would look at maybe detaching the vag-com port from the rear ashtray and fixing it inside the tunnel. You could then run the cable easily enough for a stealth install that should be easy to undo should you need to.

Then another ~£50 for import duty taxg60bv wrote:just what i thought. the only prob is having to run the lead from the vagcom socket to the dash. unless the socet could be moved to a more forward position. $400 plus delivery est $530 £270. gulp.
TBH, its nice and handy having all that info there, like the SECS monitor but nicer... but how are you going to view it all while driving, the display looks rather small.
Vagcom can monitor all those.

that looks like a good gauge, and if it's programmable I'd guess it could be setup to read the maf as well.
Another option to relocating the obd port could be to install a second one in parallel giving the ability to site one near the gauge and leave the other in the rear ashtray, then all that would need to be done is unplug the gauge whilst using Vag-com on the port in the ashtray just something to consider and I may be completely wrong
