RS4 B8 breakdown (looks like DRC burst pipe)

Had leaking fluid coming from the passenger wheel and lots of it - was worried it was brake fluid on my newly refurbed wheels but it looks like a drc pipe has given up and wet itself - by the time I nursed it to my local garage the suspension was not nice at all.

They’ve showed my the pipe that has gone and said it’s a specialist or main dealer only - which I kinda new.

After a few arguments with the AA they sent a patrol to the garage (after insisting it needs a truck) the guy arrived took one look and said why have they sent me, AA then called to say you are already at a garage so we can’t recover you to anywhere else. Anyway long story short I explained 99% of garages can’t replace the pipe and repressure this system so you are leaving me stranded at this garage. They then sub contacted the recovery for a time slot of 9 to 11am the next day, had 6 missed calls at 6.03 AM from the truck driver, who said you didn’t answer so we cancelled the call - Back to the AA I go - Rant Rant

Anyhow …..It’s now on the way to Chelmsford Audi and awaiting the call to say it’s going to be ££££££££££

Audi want £ 2880 to replace 4 drc pipes, new fluid, and recharge the system


Being collected today as that’s just not realistic

Now been recovered to Daniel James performance (Southend Essex area)

They have the tooling for the recharge and have worked on many cars with DRC

All 4 flexi pipes being changed at over £800 (parts only)

Quoted c £1500 all in parts /labour /fluid /recharge

They are also doing a service/ health check ( separate cost)

So far very happy, better service and price than the stealership !
