Weird gearbox problem

Post by slippery » Mon Nov 26, 2007 10:13 pm

Hi

Hope someone can shed some light on this.
When I start my car and put in "D" it is as if the clutch is slipping.
Turn off restart everything OK. Gearbox works perfectly until I
switch off engine and same thing happens again.
Reverse is OK when I start.
??????

Cheers Tom

I have also noticed on mine that if i leave in 'D' and drive at about half throttle, that it feels like it is going to change gear but then changing its mind. feels a bit like a miss fire but it is not that as i can hear the engine etc. It also seems to have a bit of a slip on it too. It dont do this if using the paddles etc.
Also is there a way to make it pull off in second or third gear maybe instead of it always changing into first. Basicaly make it lock in the gear that you want and not kick down?

Hi

Gearbox oil, filter & gasket changed 6 months ago due to leak.

Can Audi only check the level?

Cheers Tom

@mattysupra, am not aware of being able to over-ride stock programme... anything programmed in should be able to be programmed out, so VAGCOM cable & programming?
