The Nav units I fit all the time, so for me it was pretty straight forward, about 2 hours work and a straight swap, some wiring changes etc.
The TV is upgraded as well to the latest revision tuner, that takes about 30 mins, but needs a new connector at the HU end.
Phatbox is a 30 minute job as it needs to be repositioned in the CD changer cradle for a good fit.
Telephone, around 3 hours work, running the mic cable up to the lighting dome is a pain, but the rest is fairly easy tapping into the HU woring harness.
The Media player was the biggest job as it required some wires to be run from the front to back for the remote control and switched live. Also the media tray in the boot needed some work to house the player.
Finally TV in motion, on the RS6 I used the spare roller blind switch, as I don't have one, as the TV in motion enable, mounted some relays under the dash to change the momentary swicth to a latching one, added illumination and used the relays to cut the speed pulse (GALA) wire.
So the only unsightly thing on my dash now is the origin B2.

Re: origin b2
B2 is mounted on the dash to the right of the driver, hard wired with a GPS splitter to the Audi roof GPS receiver to give a better lock time etc.shimmy wrote:how have you done the origin B2. If it is dash mounted have you hard wired it?
are there amy good ways to fit it without having it sitting on the top of the dash?
Here's a pic of it, ignore the mic in front, that is now mounted in the roof as shown above.

RE: Re: origin b2
Do you have done it yourself ?
When you did, do you have all the electric wiring
connections written down ?

I have my B2 in the same spot. I have a problem at the moment with electrical interference. It sporadically keeps alarming 'diffuser'. I have put an ferrous cuff over the power cord, but the problem seems to be getting worse. Have you had any false laser signals?

I did everything myself, I sort of install Nav systems in Audis as a part time ocupation. So I know what I'm doing to a reasonable degree.
When I install things, I look for clean solutions, that are practical and easy to use, I hate cluttered dashes with lots of cables and I like the OEM look.
As for the B2, I dont have the laser diffuser installed, I think I decided that, if it came on, I was nicked anyway.

i remmeber one of your posts showing the b2 above the parking sensor switch in the midle of the dash. was that your car and if so did you move it for a reason.
you should get the LE-30. some good reports i have read on M5board thatg they work a treat and do block the signal longg enough to slow down. Also can link the LE-30 and b2.
