Cooling fans

Post by cover99 » Sat Sep 28, 2024 7:21 pm

Evening all.
I have noticed the following recently.
When car is started from cold, my coolant temp is low as is the oil temperature.
My cooling fans are coming on with air con off at this point. Coolant and oil temp eventually come up to normal levels on the dash.

Fans are controlling as ramping up and down. Not just on constantly.

Not sure if this is normal or not but don’t remember this in the past when starting her up.

Anyone had this before?

Thanks Steven

Check the connection to the high pressure switch (circled). My plug was loose causing the same problems you describe. Bodged it with cable ties as shown.
