That's awesome. :) Nice one.

Welcome to the light wallet club.
I’d like to think that Matt has sorted so much out it’s going to be a relatively pain free experience! Hopefully not famous last words here. I’ve owned some infamously ‘ruinous’ cars such as the C6 RS6 and a (current) LR Defender. I always take my time sourcing cars and will travel far for the right one. Both the C6 and my Defender were and are really reliable and none of the horror stories happened to me (although a suicidal pheasant a few weeks ago took my windscreen out and also windscreen washer on the Defender whilst at speed on the motorway. New windscreen, washer and pants were needed!).
Time will tell and I don't really have a daily as I WFH or bounce around abroad. Don't really need all these cars but our chosen addiction is what it is. Better than gambling or drugs I suppose.
Current:
2003 C5 RS6- forum car and well sorted
2016 R8 V10 Plus
2012 Land Rover Defender XS Utility Full Tweaked Spectre conversion
Former:
2019 E63s AMG 4Matic Estate.
2015 C7 RS6 Misano Red Performance Plus and unicorn miles
2018 B9 RS5 coupe. Milltek Non-Res Exhaust.
2017 BMW M3 Competition Pack.
2015 A45 AMG.Overrated POS.
2016 C7 RS6 Panther black.
2009 C6 RS6 phantom black saloon. Milltek
2006 BMW Z4M Roadster.
2004 Alpina Roadster.
1994 E34 M5 Saloon

Yeah, I'm reluctant to jinx it, but I also have had a relatively pain free ownership experience.

I think the RS6 is a car that responds well to being driven sympathetically, and, conversely, will punish you if you abuse it.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Totally agree with the above.
