What does these two button do?

Post by Benario » Sun Feb 04, 2024 12:25 pm

Hi all,

I found this car in mobile from Japan and it go two buttons, one of them I have on my car, but the one with the trunk I haven't seen?
Are these only for sedan version? What do they do?

Her is the car - https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/deta ... 0f9&vc=Car

Thanks!

Top one could be the interior monitor ? Unfortunately not a very clear picture.
Bottom one looks like boot (trunk) unlock

Strange as on mine the interior monitor is on the door pillar.
And the boot unlock is on my remote control.

Ps. My car is a sedan.

I've got the exact same buttons on my D2 S8. The lower one opens the boot, the upper one inhibits the interior monitoring of the alarm when locking the car, e.g. with a dog inside!
The boot release I actually find useful. I don't have a dog and would never leave it loose in a locked car anyway.

Thanks guys for update, could it be that boot opener it only for sedans? I haven't see the electrical boot opened for C4 RS6 and haven't found anyone talking about it.
One additional "extra" that I find very rare is the electrical adjustable steering wheel.

I have the same bottoms as Steve has stated although mine is an Avant.
I've never used the interior monitor button.
Mine also has the electrical steering wheel adjustment and a memory button to pull the wheel into the dash as you turn off the engine... this I'd like to use but weirdly don't. I think I learned this when one thing after another was going wrong with the car.
Maybe I'll turn it on now.

I also have the electrical steering adjustment for rake and reach, but find that when it’s all the way to the bottom, it can get stuck.
Guess I need to take it all apart and see what’s going on Image
