Yeah, I also was unable to find any useful info / products when looking at the TI Automotive route. I have a feeling I have seen Pierburg OE pumps, too. Maybe there was a supplier change during production.

Yep both pump brands look very similar. I think, as Ti Automotive and Walbro merged around 2014, it's not unconceivable to think that Walbro handles the smaller pumps these days.

It's only a fuel pump. It should be possible to find another that does the same job.

Yeah, agree, but you don't want to get one that's too weak (running lean at WOT) or too strong (overwhelming the regulator). So the trick is to identify the pump that rscarparts are selling.

Or maybe Steve's pump will have some interesting info on it.

Interestingly this page has some other models that might use the same pump. Fat engined mercs.

Yep! This would be my concern, although I think the rating is quite low by modern standards. But lets hope the OE pump has some interesting stamps on it.

BTW: TI Automotive has an interactive tool which you can use to select fuel pumps >>> https://aftermarket.tiautomotive.com/search-fuel-pumps/

I once heard that the pumps on the same era AMG's (E55 etc) were the same pump. Never looked into it further though...

When the pump arrives I will see what info comes with it and let you know.
There has to be a direct replacement.

While I was at it I ordered a shoppinit upgrade for £100.00
Always wanted a R8 Plus.
Well finally got a tiny bit of one.
And this one isn’t blue thankfully

I picked one of the part numbers ( A0014701294) and there's quite a few on Autodoc including a Bosch one https://www.autodoc.co.uk/bosch/1168604

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/a0014701294

There's also a pierburg in that list. The Bosch and the Pierburg are the most expensive. There's also a Meyle branded one:

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/meyle/16627519

I'm assuming this is the external one. Think the internal one has some other gubbins all over it.

110lph sounds awfully low for a 500 bhp car.

The bosch one is rated up to 444bhp but that doesn't mention fuel delivery stats. The rest of them that I looked at seem to only go up to 388 BHP which suggests theyre for the lesser models.

Tank is only 80 litres. How fast do you want to drain it?

The test is carried out with the fuel rail disconnected, so that's the amount the pump can deliver to the engine at 4 bar. Pretty scary to think that you would empty your tank if you went WOT for, say, 30 mins. But certainly not inconceivable.

Yes 100% totally agree.
I have a figure in my head of 240lph, but I can’t be sure.

Found a calculator thing. 184 for 444 bhp turbo and 207 for 500bhp turbo.

We know that the fuel pump control module increases the voltage from 10V to ~14V when the calculated consumption goes above 90lph so we can assume that the engine will regularly use more than this. And we know that the minimum measured fuel delivery must be 120lph at 10V according to the test procedure. And that's the minimum spec below which the pump is deemed faulty.

I'm guessing that fuel pump delivery increases non-linearly with voltage, and that it'll be less than the 40% increase in voltage. I'm gonna say 20% increase. That's 144lph.

Also, we need to know what pressure the given delivery rate is for. This is because as the back pressure increases, the amount of fuel that can be delivered will decrease.
